Happy Pioneer Day!

Today was Pioneer Day in Utah. It has been 161 years since the first pioneers entered the state led by Brigham Young. Eric and I both had the day off so we were able to spend the day together as a family (well almost, Trevor was having fun with Tanner).

We met Eric's dad and went and had lunch with him at Olive Garden.
After that we went to Sugarhouse Park to feed the ducks. The kids liked it at first but then the ducks started taking the bread right out of their hands. Hunter and BraeLyn did not like that very much.

My mom lived in the Sugarhouse area for a few years. Since we were in the neighborhood we decided to drive by it. It hasn't changed much but there were a lot of memories in this house.

We ended the day with the Herd family tradition of BBQing at Uncle Michael and Aunt Laurels house. The food and the company were both great.
