Accidents DO happen....DOH!

Eric got into a car accident on his way home from work yesterday but he wasn't hurt (phew!). I wish we could say the same for the Honda!

He was going west on 90th south when he entered the intersection at Bangerter Hwy next to a diesel truck (on his left). A man waiting to turn left onto Bangerter Hwy was being impatient and decided to cut in front of him and a diesel truck. The diesel barely missed him but Eric wasn't able to stop. The damage to the other mans car was very minimal because Eric hit him towards the back, only damaging his bumper, but it sure did a number on Eric's car. The impatient man was issued a ticket for not properly yielding to oncoming traffic.

We are counting our blessings that the accident wasn't worse than it was because it could have been really bad!

As a side note....if anyone reading this has post has Farmers Insurance, do the people you may hit in the future a favor and change your insurance! Farmers will not give Eric a rental car until they "determine fault in the accident" even though their insured was issued a citation. They can't get a claims adjuster assigned to the case until Tuesday afternoon (because of the holiday weekend) so now we are stuck without a car until who knows when. We have heard from several people (tow truck driver, other insurace agents etc.) that Farmers will be difficult to deal with. And the fun begins.....
