Windy weekend at Yuba

We went to Yuba Lake for the weekend. We haven't been there for about 12 years and thought it would be fun to go and camp on the beach. We had all forgotten how windy it was down there. It was beautiful when we got there on Thursday night however we were quickly reminded who was in charge when we woke up to constant wind on Friday morning. The wind did not die down until we were packing up to leave on Sunday morning. We tried not to let the wind stop us from having fun.

Derrin spent lots of time on his sand castle (top pic). The kids also built their own sand castle (bottom pic). At the end of the trip they had a war where they each took turns throwing sand balls at each others castles.
