Happy 10th Birthday Trevor!

Today is Trevor's 10th birthday. I took time this morning to think about where Eric and I were 10 years ago and how different our lives were. Wow what a difference 10 years makes. I have learned so much about being a mother from Trevor. We are so grateful to have him in our family. He is such a big help and a great example to his brothers and sister. He has grown up so much in the last year. It is amazing to watch how kids change and grow.

He has already received so many birthday wishes today.

  • Kami and her family were the first to wish Trevor a Happy Birthday right about midnight on their blog.
  • The family woke him up by singing him Happy Birthday.
  • He called Nana and Derrin at 8am this morning to invite them to his dinner celebration at Texas Roadhouse. They, of course, wished him a Happy Birthday.
  • Mary and the girls put a candle in Trevor's potatoes at lunch today and sang him Happy Birthday.
  • Trevor got a very cute email from Matt and Megan. He absolutely loved it and was so happy that they thought of him on his birthday all the way from Seattle. He invited his friends over to watch it because he thought it was so funny.
  • He received phone calls from several other family members later in the day. Thank you to everyone for remembering Trevor's birthday!

We always let the kids pick where they want to go for dinner on their birthday. Trevor picked Texas Roadhouse. While we were waiting for our table Trevor told Eric and I that we (Eric and I) weren't allowed to tell them that it was his birthday. Of course we followed his wishes....we didn't tell them....Derrin did :) As you can see from the picture, he was thrilled to be sitting on the saddle!

After dinner we went to AllStar Lanes to go bowling. We had a great time and Trevor was very grateful for a fun birthday with his family.

Yes...the blue and shiny silver shoes are Eric's and not rentals! What a great sense of style he has! Sure do love ya babe!
